BTC21 operates a high-capacity, public-facing Electrum JSON-RPC server backed directly by our archival Bitcoin Core full node. Connect Sparrow Wallet, Electrum Desktop, BlueWallet, and hardware wallet coordinators over encrypted TLS on port 50002.

Notice of Agreement: By configuring and connecting your wallet to this Electrum server (port 50002), you agree to the Terms of Service. Because light wallet connections use direct network sockets without a web gateway, the act of connecting your wallet serves as your legally binding electronic acceptance of our Terms with the exact same legal effect as pressing an "Accept" button.
Open Sparrow and go to Preferences (Ctrl + , on Linux/Windows, Cmd + , on macOS).
Click the Server icon in the sidebar and choose Electrum Server.
Enter URL: electrum.btc21.cc:50002 and make sure Use SSL / TLS is checked.
Click Test Connection. When the indicator turns green, click Close. Sparrow is now verifying balances directly against BTC21.

Or in the GUI: Go to Tools → Network → Server tab.
Uncheck Select server automatically.
Enter server: electrum.btc21.cc and port 50002 with SSL checked. Click Close.

Open BlueWallet → Settings (gear icon) → Electrum Server.
Toggle on Use custom Electrum server.
Enter host address: ssl://electrum.btc21.cc:50002
Tap Save and Reboot to connect your mobile wallet to BTC21.

Because light wallet protocols connect directly over TCP/TLS without an interactive web login screen, the act of connecting your wallet or device to this server constitutes your legally binding electronic acceptance of our Terms of Service with the exact same legal force and effect as pressing an "Accept" button. If you do not agree to every clause of our Terms, you must not connect your wallet to this server.
1. Non-Custodial Community Utility: BTC21 is an independent, non-custodial Bitcoin full node operated as a free public utility. BTC21 does not hold private keys, operate custodial wallets, manage accounts, or store user funds. Your private keys and seed phrases remain entirely on your own local device and are never transmitted to BTC21.
2. "AS-IS" Warranty Disclaimer: This Electrum server and website are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uptime, accuracy, or non-infringement.

Absolute Limitation of Liability: Under no circumstances shall the operators, maintainers, contributors, hosting providers, or affiliates of BTC21 be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation the loss of bitcoin, financial loss, transmission errors, broadcast rejections, connection timeouts, blockchain forks, or software vulnerabilities in client wallet software or server daemons. 4. Financial Privacy Notice: The Electrum protocol communicates your wallet's script hashes (addresses) to the server to look up history and balances. While BTC21 operates under a strict zero-logging policy and never profiles wallet addresses, your IP address is visible at the network layer during direct clearnet connections. For maximum financial privacy and IP masking, we strongly recommend routing your wallet traffic through Tor (e.g., using Sparrow's built-in Tor proxy).
